Romantic weekend breaks UK Limewood Hotel is laid back boutique luxury. Set in the heart of the New Forest it’s country manor combined with formal gardens and roaming ponies. It’s cosy without feeling busy, formal enough to feel pampered and looked after but not pretentious. It’s quiet so bring a book, take a walk and enjoy the beautiful setting.

The food and drink were the focal points of our trip, gins and afternoon tea, cocktails by the fire, wine in the cottage style rooms followed by dinner in the hotels Italian. It was all excellent. Staff are quietly working away around you but are knowledgable, especially when it came down to wine pairings.
The spa is vast, open and bright but has cosy nooks like the sauna and its woodland views. It’s almost it’s own entity with boutique shop, restaurant and roof top garden.
Worth a weekend or even two night stay to make the most of the amenities. Limewood also has events such as the Smoked & Uncut festival (family friendly festival) but when we went to that we stayed off site because it seemed a waste to miss out on the hotel facilities when our time was 90% at the festival.
