Las Vegas

1/5
A quick pit stop staying at the Nobu hotel. The bathroom was the highlight of the hotel, but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Vegas was fun to see but we didn’t love it.

ZION NATIONAL PARK UTAH

5/5
We had the the most incredible first night staying at Under Canvas. The tent was fabulous, with all the amenities such as a shower and toilet. We lit the fire and watched the sunset staying up late to watch the stars whilst drinking red wine.

Bryce Canyon NATIONAL PARK, UTAH

5/5
This was a favourite National park on the road trip. Bryce was stunning, the formation of the stone was breathtaking.

Grand Canyon

3/5
We drove through the Grand Canyon national park which was spectacular. It did start snowing whilst we were there which made viewing difficult.

Palm Springs

5/5
We drove straight from Grand Canyon through the Joshua tree National park. I loved the desert drive with the breathtaking blue skies. We stayed for two nights at the Sparrow lodge. A gorgeous boutique hotel. The hotel was built by actor Don Castle in the 50s but has been restored since. We spent the days by the pool, using the bikes provided exploring the incredible architecture. I love a Palm Springs home! Oh and drinking the delicious margaritas from the bar!! We had a Vietnamese dinner at Rooster and the Pig, on the recommendation of the hotel. You had to turn up and get your name on a list, and then wait…it was worth it!!

Los Angeles

4/5
We stayed at the Rose hotel in Venice beach for one night. The hotel was quite basic and lacking some amenities we needed but a great location. We cycled along the beach to Santa Monica and watched the sunset. For dinner we went to Gjelina on Abbott Kinney. Incredible food, glamorous laid back setting. The truffle pizza I still dream about! We stayed at the Nomad hotel for the second night. The hotel was beautiful and the room was very pleasing!! I loved the bath being in the room, so nice to relax and get room service. Although we did have a cheeky margarita at the bar. Oh and the coffee shop within the hotel makes the most delicious coffee!

SEQUoIA NATIONAL PARK

4/5
We drove through Sequoia on the way to Napa. We have never seen so many gigantic trees. It was magical.

NAPA + SONOMA

5/5
We spent three nights at Ranch Canyon hotel in St Helena. During the day we explored the wineries and ate far too much at the incredible restaurant choice! A highlight was farmyard. Very laid back, delicious farm to table food and obviously great wine.

San Francisco

3/5
We stayed for two night in San Francisco exploring the sights. The golden bridge, the seals, Alcatraz and the shops! A highlight was eating at Skate Bird. We were so lucky to get a table. You could select food from the menu amd then additional bits from carts that came round. We sat at the bar overlooking the kitchen. It was buzzy and delicious. A perfect last night!!
If I had more time… Planned and booked more in advance. In Arizona we would of loved to do antelope canyon but it was fully booked. If we had a bigger budget we dreamed of going to Amangiri. The ultimate honeymoon dream. I also wish we had the time to do the Big Sur. But we did pretty well with the time we had and saw some incredible sights!
If we had less time… Skipped Vegas!
