Weekend break to Anglesey cottages and Rhosneigr. The island of Anglesey is off the north west coast of Wales and is known for its beaches and for its local history. Located on the south west of the island of Anglesey, is home to Rhosneigr, which is a place to stretch your legs, smell the salty sea air and reconnect with nature. If you feel the need for speed, look up, this is the home of RAF Valley, so you’ll see pilots in training and if you’re lucky you might see the Red Arrows stopping by. Wales is beautiful and this trip will mean Wales will be back on the bucket list for further trips.

Anglesey cottages AND RHOSNEIGR, THE OYSTER CATCHER

Renting a small cottage on Holy Island, Trearddur, Angelsey, you’re a 20 mins drive to Rhosneigr. You can walk this, but will take anything from 3-7 hours depending on your route. From the clock at the centre of the village of Rhosneigr you can see RAF Valley and Holyhead Mountain. Watch our for RAF fast jets overhead as this area is their training playground!  Head for dinner at the Oyster Catcher which is located by the sandy dunes of Rhosneigr, just a few minutes walk from the award winning Broad Beach (Traeth Llydan) for a casual seafood dinner with great dune and sunset views.

St Cwyfan's Church

St Cwyfan’s Church is a Grade II listed medieval church in Llangadwaladr, Anglesey, Wales. The church itself is located on the small tidal island of Cribinau, and is popularly known as the “Little Church in the Sea” and dates from the 12th century. Time your visit to align with low tide otherwise you won’t be able to get to this still operational church.
