FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.

We create trips from your photos, so it’s important that your phone is set up correctly. If it isn’t set up correctly some of your photos might not be able to be used.

Turn on Location Services and for the Photos app

1. Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services.
2. Make sure that Location Services is on.
3. Scroll down to find the Photos app.
4. Tap the Photos app and select an option (we recommend while using the app):
   • Never: Prevents access to Location Services information.
   • Ask Next Time: This allows you to choose Always While Using App, Allow Once, or Don’t Allow.
   • While Using the App: Allows access to Location Services only when the app or one of its features is visible on screen. 
   • Always: Allows access to your location even when the app is in the background

Turn on icloud for Shared Albums

1. 1. On your iPhone, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Photos, then turn on Shared Albums.
   2. On your Mac, open the Photos app. From the menu bar at the top of the screen, choose Photos > Preferences. Click the iCloud tab, then select Shared Albums.

Share your photos with us

1. To share multiple photos or videos: While viewing photos in an album or the All Photos tab in your library, Select any images that you’d like to be included in your trip. We recommend sharing one trip at a time.
2. Tap the Share button then look to the top of your screen and tap the small blue “options”. Toggle the share “All Photos Data” and “Location” buttons and select done.
3. Select the “Add to Shared Album”. When the box appears select the “Shared Album” section at the bottom of the box and select + to add a new Shared Album.
4. Name your Album (username followed by your trip name) and Select “Next” to insert the following email address content@guidedtravel.co 
5. Select Next to add any comments that you’d like us to add about the trip (what you liked and what you didn’t). Select Post and you are done.
6. If you cannot see an option to create a shared album please refer to this guide by Apple.

Unfortunately, not all images are created equally, so if the location data wasn’t captured or has been stripped from the image (this can happen when your location services are turned off or if you share images via WhatApp, for example) then we might not be able to create a trip, but well be in touch if that happens. 

We will create your trip and add in details such as where you stayed and where you ate. We’ll send the trip back to you so you can add your comments and star ratings. You don’t need to add comments and ratings for everything, but the more details you add now, the more you’ll have saved for the future and the better your recommendations are for others.

Your trip is then ready to share with friends when they need recommendations!

If you cant create a shared album it’s likely that you don’t have shared albums enabled.
