IBIZA HOLIDAYS FORMENTERA AND IBIZA TOWN
IBIZA, Spain HOLIDAYS
OVERVIEW
Sunsets, Lio, Formentera, Besos Beach Club one of the best beach clubs on Formentera, Pacha, Ibiza marina and Experimental Cocktail Club. This route takes in some of the islands famous spots.
IBIZA HOLIDAYS AT LA FINCA
La Finca is an old farmhouse lovingly converted to a small number of guest rooms based around the central pool and the mainhouse. Based in the countryside, you’re still close to the nightlife and beaches on the south of Ibiza like Cala Tarida. Friendly and accommodating, La Finca was a good base, but get a car to get around as after breakfast services are limited at La Finca and so you’ll probably want to head out for lunches and dinners. They have a patio eating area so you can bring food and drink back.
BEACH PARTY AND SUNSETS
Sunset Ashram, Cala Compte
IBIZA HOLIDAYS
beach DAY
Easy day at the Cala Tarida beach. Warm, salty water, hot sand, what more do you need? The beach isn’t quiet, but for peak summer it didn’t feel overly crowded. A few lunch options such as Cotton Beach Club with its fresh white interior constrasting against the blue water or Xa Xa and Restaurante ses eufabies. We picked Restaurante Can Yucas as it seemed the most casual.
Ibiza
Marina, IBIZA OLD TOWN
and Lio
Port d’Eivissa provides some great view of the old town so it’s worth a wander down before heading to dinner and the live cabaret show at Lio Ibiza. Expect dinner and drinks to be expensive but it’s worth it to get some of best views of the show and after party. If you want to skip dinner, book a table for drinks instead.
Formentera and Experimental Beach Club
We hired boats to spend the day around Formentera Island. Head off in the morning so that you can snorkelling and swim in the turquoise waters before heading to Formentera’s Besos Beach, a beach club for lunch. You’ll need to get a water taxi from your boat to the Island as the water is shallow. Booking is advised as Formentera is busy around lunch. Besos has a great Ibizan chilled party vibe and you’ll have a good time even if its just watching some of the larger groups partying away! Keep an eye out for the water cocktail boats when back on the water, who will come over and mix you up something. To finish the day off head to Experimental beach club for sunset cocktails and dinner. Another classic Ibizan laid back party venue.
Solomon at Pacha
Some recouping time at La Finca before heading out to dinner at Peyotito at Nobu. Peyotito as of (July 2020) is now Chambao, a laidback chiringuito beach restaurant. It still has its beach and pool side tables so I’d expect the experience to be just as good. Off for a long night watching Solomun at Pacha, Ibiza’s original club, which has entertained the island for over four decades.
LAZY LUNCHES at cala gracioneta
A long lazy lunch on our final day at Cala Gracioneta Chringuito. With its rustic signs and direct access to a small beach and fresh sea food it was welcome after a day of partying. The chringuito access is restricted (its down a rocky hill) so if you have buggies/luggage you will have to carry these down (the staff are super helpful though!)
